You are welcome to join our family! We are looking for Yacht Captain that have leadership qualities, ability to work and communicate with rotating crew on board. Captains have to have good attitude such as punctuality, friendly and understanding. In condition of stress, the captain is able to remain calm and provide assistance to those in need. A great understanding and alignment of our values and goals would be a better fit for yourself and us. Roles and responsibility: To ensure the vessel under your command is in a safe and seaworthy condition and ready for charter. To ensure all documentations and licensing are updated relevant to the operations. Be responsible for the maintenance and appearance of the vessel, this includes responsibility for cleanliness and pumping out of the boats. Be responsible for the safety and conduct of guests during the trip and to report irregularities to management. Secure vessels safely to the wharf, jetty or mooring and ensure the vessel is left in secure state with all windows, doors, vents closed and follow proper procedures for engine room shutdown and domestic systems i.e. water pumps, gas bottles are to be turned off. Be of a pleasant and helpful disposition and in doing so ensure an atmosphere of warm hospitality on board and a happy workplace Be a role model for the crew assigned to you Other adhoc jobs Requirements and Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least an National ITE Certificate (Nitec) A team player, meticulous and organized. The Powered Pleasure Craft Driving Licence (PPCDL) is required for driving a pleasure craft/ powered yacht that are less than 24 meters in length within Singapore Port Limits. Powered Pleasure craft driving licence(ppcdl) Discover Sailing Asia provides the Powered Pleasure Craft Driving Licence (PPCDL) Course, which is comprehensive course that provides you with the freedom to pilot your own craft upon course completion and the passing of the required examinations. The Powered Pleasure Craft Driving Licence (PPCDL) is required for driving a pleasure craft/ powered yacht that are less than 24 meters in length within Singapore Port Limits. Please note that we are only providing the PPCDL course, but not the theory examinations and practicals.
